Description
This course combines all the key elements plus additional topics and you get to sound engineer for real. Aimed at those who want to make sound engineering a career and get work in the live industry and also those people who make their living playing live and need to have a great sound. The course includes essential in-depth theory on the principles of sound, acoustics and gain structure and from this move onto explaining all about the equipment, components and settings you should use. There is in-depth training on patching in and using the mixing desk, understanding and using EQ, Grouping, and Routing, Using the matrix and recording a live mix. We teach about setting and creating monitor mixes show how to conquer feedback and use a variety of ringing out techniques.

The principles of sound, what it is, how it is made up, the measurement of it. * Acoustic and electronic instruments and the levels they create. * Understanding the equipment that can be used in a live performance e.g: Mics, Mixers, Amplifiers, Speakers, Gates, Compressors, Effects Processors, Equalizers * Types of Speaker Systems, Setting Up and their Application * How the equipment is connected together and connections used. * Understanding and using Mixing Desks * Gain Structure, EQ and Signal Routing * Front of House and Monitor Mixing, And much more.
Target
Anyone over the age of 18 can attend the course and no previous experience is required. As well as having people who have wanted to engineer bands we have trained other people such as singers, musicians, teachers, live venue owners and sound equipment installers.

To enrol to SAE courses students must first pay a registration course fee (deposit). The deposit is based on the total course fee.
